Cookie Policy
Version 2026.07.28 · Effective 2026-07-28 · Last updated 2026-07-28
This policy explains how Faciro uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit faciro.com or use our application. It is information only and is not legal advice; Mauritius DPA 2017 is our primary privacy reference. Obtain counsel advice for your own compliance needs.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Faciro uses essential cookies so you can sign in and submit forms securely. Optional analytics cookies or scripts load only when analytics is configured for the site and you choose to accept analytics.
Essential cookies
- faciro_session — Essential session cookie. Keeps you signed in after login. Duration: 7 days. HttpOnly, Secure (in production), SameSite=Lax.
- faciro_csrf — Essential CSRF protection cookie. Lets the browser send a matching token with authenticated requests so forms and API calls cannot be forged as easily. Readable by JavaScript on our origin (not HttpOnly), Secure (in production), SameSite=Lax, duration: 7 days.
These cookies are strictly necessary to authenticate you and protect your account. Blocking them will prevent the service from working normally.
Consent preference (localStorage)
Your cookie notice choice is stored in browser localStorage under the key faciro_cookie_consent (not a server cookie). Values:
- essential — essential cookies only; optional analytics does not load
- accepted — you accept optional analytics when it is configured
Optional analytics
When a Google Analytics (GA4) measurement ID is configured for Faciro, analytics scripts load only after you choose Accept all (consent value accepted). If you choose Essential only, or if analytics is not configured, GA does not load. IP anonymisation is enabled where configured. See also our Subprocessors page.
Your choices
- Essential only — dismisses the banner; session and CSRF cookies continue as needed; no optional analytics
- Accept all — allows optional analytics when configured
You can clear cookies and localStorage in your browser settings. Clearing the session cookie will sign you out. Clearing the consent key will show the cookie notice again on a later visit.
